Global Health (Foyer) — an independent reference profile
Insurer profile · not a ranking
The international health insurer of Foyer, Luxembourg's largest insurance group — relaunched under the "Global Health" brand (verified 2026-08-01); the underwriting entity remains Foyer Global Health S.A.
The shape of the offer
What their plans are like.
The five-tier Journey range, from a short-term entry plan to unlimited-maximum tiers — replacing the older Essential/Special/Exclusive line, which much of the internet still describes.
We keep this section general on purpose. Plan names, limits and premiums move every year, and a page pretending otherwise would be quietly wrong within one renewal cycle. The specifics belong in your report, dated, against your situation.
The structure, dated · facts checked 2026-08-01
What their published material actually says.
Everything below was read from the carrier's own pages and documents on2026-08-01 — specifically globalhealth.insurance (the rebranded site), the 2026 brochure and the Journey general conditions. ⚑ marks what those materials do not state. No premiums appear here because premiums are personal quotes, and no verdicts because this page ranks nothing.
| Tier | Published maximum | The note that matters |
|---|---|---|
| Short | €500,000 / period | sold for 3, 6 or 9-month terms; outpatient 80% to €2,000 |
| Basic | €1,500,000 / yr | outpatient 80% to €2,000 |
| Extensive | €3,000,000 / yr | outpatient to €12,000 |
| Advanced | Unlimited | outpatient unlimited |
| Premium | Unlimited | top assistance and repatriation limits |
| The rebrand | foyerglobalhealth.com now redirects to globalhealth.insurance — the individual product is the five-tier Journey range, replacing the older Essential/Special/Exclusive line that much of the internet still describes. The underwriting entity is unchanged. |
| Area of cover / USA | Two options: worldwide, or worldwide excluding the USA. |
| Underwriting | Application-form medical underwriting — the insurer answers within 30 days with an offer, an inquiry, or a refusal. ⚑ No moratorium route appears in the published general conditions (absence inferred, not stated). |
| Renewability | Twelve-month contract, tacitly renewed year after year; insurer termination essentially limited to fraud, non-payment or nullity. One exception worth knowing: cover ends after five consecutive years for those temporarily resident in Germany. |
| Cost-sharing | Deductibles €250–€7,000 with 10% or 20% co-payment options; a no-deductible option exists. |
| Waiting periods | Twelve months for pregnancy and childbirth; ten months for psychiatric treatment, psychotherapy and major dental. |
| Entry age | ⚑ Not published in the brochure, comparison page or general conditions we read. |
| Underwriter & regulator | Foyer Global Health S.A., Leudelange, Luxembourg (RCS B134.471), supervised by the Commissariat aux Assurances. |

Where else you will see this name
One of seven in an independent benchmark.
The SIP Health Cost Index 2025 prices comparable international cover across fifty countries, and Global Health (Foyer) is one of the seven insurers it quotes — the Exclusive plan, on worldwide excluding usa.
Two things that does not mean. It is not a shortlist: the index needed a consistent basket of globally operating insurers to price countries with, and its authors state twice that it does not compare the seven against one another. And it is not a verdict on price — the seven plans differ in benefits, cover area, service levels and medical network, so a lower figure is a different product rather than a better deal. What the index is genuinely useful for is the question underneath it: what a country costs.
